Parkland Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Parkland Restaurant on Walbert Avenue feels a bit like entering a cherished neighborhood gathering spot where familiarity and warmth gently wrap around you. The pace here carries the comforting rhythm of a well-loved local diner—unhurried enough to savor moments, yet lively enough to feel a steady flow of friendly faces and casual conversations.
Soft murmurs of breakfast orders mingle with the clink of cups and the occasional laughter from a family tucked into a corner booth. It's the kind of place where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee blends effortlessly with the unmistakable scent of sizzling breakfast fare—a scent that hints at homemade touches and time-honored recipes crafted during early morning hours. Whether it’s the satisfying richness of golden pancakes, the comforting steam rising from a hearty vegetable soup, or the gentle tang of a Greek omelette, the menu celebrates honest, straightforward American favorites that invite you to linger.
There’s a thoughtful, unpretentious charm in how the staff move with ease through their rhythm of service, even on busy mornings. Here, the friendly exchange between servers and guests feels genuine, the pace measured but attentive. Groups large and small find themselves welcomed with equal care, as if every guest were part of the same extended neighborhood story. This is a place where quick breakfasts evolve naturally into slow conversations without feeling rushed.
The environment carries a quietly enduring spirit, one that respects both tradition and community. It’s not just about a meal—it’s about the shared experience of good food in good company, where simple pleasures like a homemade croissant or a perfectly runny eggs benedict become small celebrations of the everyday.

A nice family restaurant with great food and a friendly atmosphere. We had a large party and we were served quickly in a friendly manner. You must try their homemade croissants! Amazing!!

Decent diner. Great/fast service. They are really good at getting people seated and taken care of even when super busy. Just like any diner, some things are really yummy, some not as good. Their breakfast quesadilla with their delicious homemade salsa is a winner.

Real Oldies 1470 Hosted a breakfast with Mike Mittman through Saint Luke's University. Everything was fantastic.I just felt sorry for the Waitress, she was by herself, but she was really good. We appreciate her.

Enjoyed a delicious Eggs Benedict today. The home fries were piping hot, and just needed a bit of pepper for my taste. Condiments were fully stocked, friendly staff, good prices. A+

We had breakfast here for the first time. Nice variety of offerings. We split a Philly Cheesesteak omelet with potatoes and rye toast. It's served with marinara on top. Great service.

Old fashioned diner. Good food and great service from the waitstaff. Our booth was cold- had to sit with coat over my legs. Breakfast was good though. Corned beef Hash was meh. The atmosphere is oldish but ok.

In terms of atmosphere it feels like im eating in someone's home. Others might like that feeling. Food tasted really good. Marinara sauce was hearty and filling. Portions were generous compared to price. Will need to come back again to try their breakfast for sure.
